But to the best of Willys knowledge if you dont take it then Arkansas Razorbacks are going back to the drawing board and offering to Gus Malzahn with Reggie Herring being the Defensive Coordinator.

Arkansas Razorbacks, according to Willy, are going to announce end of day tomorrow that Jom Grobe of Wake Forest is the new coach.
We will then probably find out that Gus Malzahn will come back from Tulsa as the offensive Coordinator. Reggie gets to keep the Defensive Coordinator job if he promises to play nice with Gus and not call him "High School" behind his back.
Just talked to Willy again. He was wanting to discuss Mike Huckabee in the Red States Update, but all I wanted to hear about was the Arkansas Razorback Coaching situation.
I asked Willy to tell me the truth, and I know Willy knows the truth because he has sources on the hill. Willy, I asked. Are you sure it will be Mike Leach. You had told me at one time that it was for sure Tommy Tuberville and that fell through. You say that it fell through because he had a bad day at hunting. I am beginning to question Willys sources.
Well, Willy assured me that it was not going to be Tommy Bowden or Tommy Tuberville. He still assured me that Gus Malzahn was strong in the running along with Mike Leach but in the end Mike Leach would win out. He said that Reggie Herring would be kept on as defensive coordinator if he wanted to stay.
Willy says that todays source comes through the pretty waitress, Juanita, down at the diner. She has a special place in the heart of a certain big roller at the University.

Who is this guy anyway. Well he is Wake Forest Coach Jim Grobe. Grobe is 55 and is in his seventh year at the private, ACC school. Grobe has a mediocre record at 45-39 with the Demon Deacons, including 8-4 this year. He was selected as The Associated Press Coach of the Year in 2006. But what have you done for me lately we ask.

Meineke - wait a minute - is that a muffler. Well, I think that means you can probably blow this rumor out the wazoo. It aint happening.

Well, Hello Coach Bowden. Willy still thinks Tuberville is the coach or maybe Mike Leach.
It wont happen but I find it interesting that it appears, as per reliable sources, that Gus Malzahn, offensive co-ordinator last year who had a fun offense when Houston Nutt would let him run it, has interviewed for the job. Wouldn't that be a hoot. I would like to see him back, but I know if he did that Reggie Herring would be out of a job since he used to call him "high school" behind his back.
But here is what some news sources are reporting now and they do not mention Mike Leach or Tommy Tuberville. How wrong they are:
ESPN and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper both reported that Mr. Bowden – who is finishing his ninth season at Clemson – was a possible candidate. ESPN reported that Mr. Bowden was one of three candidates to have interviewed for the position along with Michigan defensive coordinator Ron English (who interviewed Sunday) and Tulsa offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.

I am trying to figure out the combination that Google likes. I have three blogs that I maintain. One of the other two Hillbilly Willy gets more hits than this one. The other one, Life in America gets a littl less than this one. All have about the same number of links to the site.
The puzzle is that on Hillbilly Willy and Life In America - the day that I started endorsing Mike Huckabee for president - Google changed my page rank from 2 to 0 on the other two sites. Both very similar in nature, hits, content etc to this one.
However, this site endorsing Huckabee and talking about Houston Nutt and Arkansas football a great deal has maintained a Google page Rank of 3. Go Figure.
Maybe, even though Google is against Huckabee someone there is an Arkansas Razorback fan.
It is very obvious that Google cant be trusted to have a scientific ranking system and that it is simply up to them to decide a rank.

Nutt, who was hired by the Rebels on Monday, has said that three of his longtime assistants — offensive line coach Mike Markuson, tight ends coach James Shibest and safeties coach Chris Vaughn — will join him at Ole Miss. Nutt didn't say anything about Reggie Herring!

Well, as my friend Willy told me in a previous post bad hunting day for Tommy Tuberville means he would stay at Auburn. Well, Willy's sources say that Tommy shot one duck on his first day hunt and on the second day after being on the deer stand he was seen coming out of the woods with no deer!
Willy says that he told us bad hunt he stays at Auburn and that appears to be what he is going to do.
But Willy says that he is hearing from his sources on the hill (hillbilly hill) that Mike Leach would like to come to Arkansas and learn to Duck hunt. Well, Willy said that was all right with him because even though he wins Tuberville plays the same type of ball that Houston Nutt played.

I went back to my prognosticator Willy today to see why all of the rumors were flying about Tuberville coming to the University of Arkansas to coach the razorbacks. Willy was animate that I did not hear everything that he had to say yesterday about who was coming to coach.
Willy says that the real truth is that Tuberville is in the state duck hunting and that this means that if the duck hunt is good that he will be the next coach. But if the hunt is not good, then Mike Leach will be the new coach.
It is kind of like the groundhog in February seeing his shadow. Good hunt - Tommy comes over. Bad Hunt Tommy takes his load of money at Auburn and Mike Leach comes over.

I have it on good sources from Hillbilly Willy who once carried out Frank Broyles garbage. Willy says that even though he might make a good weatherman, Mike Leach will be or is the new football coach at the University of Arkansas.
Willy has only been wrong on his predictions once since he starting prognosticating. His only wrong prediction was that Billie Gillispie was coming to Arkansas. Well, that was the start of Willys career and he has only one wrong to date. None out of one aint bad.

Much like they did when they wanted a new basketball coach and tried to hire the coach from Texas A & M, Billy Gillispie, Arkansas went calling to Tuberville since he had been the real first choice ten years ago.
However, sources say that when Arkansas came calling Tommy used it as leverage to get contract negotiations to commence for a longer contract. Rumor has it that Tommy would like Arkansas to be the job he takes after the next coach quits in about five years.
This way Tommy would be in the state he loves and where he wants to retire as his last stint in coaching. He would let the University of Arkansas move him home in about 5 to 7 years. He would coach for about 5 years and retire.

Have you ever been to Savannah? I haven't been there but it is on the agenda to receive a visit by my wife and me. One of the things that fascinates me is the idea that it has a ghost tour.

Most Arkansans willthink that Arkansas is a great place to live since Arkansas Razorbacks knocked off the number 1 LSU Tigers. The next big question will be if this saves Houston Nutts job.
Many of the Houston backers will say that this shows just what they had said which is that Houston is a great coach. Those who hate Houston will say Why hasnt he done this all along.
My thoughts are - He has made many bad decisions all year and I believe that with a few different calls in this ballgame he would not have had to go into overtime to win. He could have won it early.
And one thing that I will never understand is why so many times in crucial plays he has Darren McFadden on the sidelines.
Tomorrow is a big day. It is traditionally the day that I put up the Christmas lights. It is the day that I pull out the old lights and try to decide how they go on the house and in the shrubs. It is the day that I get to decide if this is the year I get new lights.
Well, the old lights are incandescent holiday lights. You know-the type that have been around for more than 100 years. These lights are outdated, inefficient, expensive, and bad for the environment.
So what do I do. I discover the idea of LED Christmas lights. These new lights use 1/10th of the energy of standard incandescent Christmas lights and will last for more than 50,000 hours compared to about 1500 for an average incandescent light. The LED bulbs are also very durable as they do not contain a fragile filament and the bulbs are constructed of a durable epoxy plastic no breakable glass. These lights create virtually no heat so they are safer for use on Christmas trees and around other combustible materials.
It is good to know in studying LED Christmas lights that a recent EPA report determined that if only 20% of American households switched to LED Christmas lights for the average 30 day holiday period it would conserve enough energy to power 200 households for an entire year.

Mike Huckabee is running a good race for President. But who is Mike Huckabee? What do we know about him?
I know him as a Baptist Minister, leader of the Baptist State Convention, Bass Guitar player, and Governor of Arkansas. I know him as a good man who would make a good president.
But what are the background facts. Here is what Wikipedia says:
Michael Dale "Mike" Huckabee (born August 24, 1955) is a former governor of the U.S. state of Arkansas, having served from 1996 to 2007. He was the third Republican governor of the state since Reconstruction and was the highest rated political figure in Arkansas for parts of his tenure.[1] He officially announced his candidacy for the 2008 United States presidential election on January 28, 2007, and he has been running a national campaign since then.
Huckabee is an ordained Southern Baptist minister. He is well known for losing 110 pounds in a very short time and advocating a healthy lifestyle.[2]

What does all of that really say or mean. It says that Huckabee is a good man with a good background who would make a good President.

Thanksgiving is a great day in spite of the turkey. You might think from that statement that I do not like turkey. Well the truth is I like turkey ok but it is not my favorite food. I like turkey because of all of the other food that seems to be present only when you have turkey.

Well, opening weekend of modern gun deer season just past in Arkansas. For those of you who don't understand what that means, let me tell you a little. Deer hunting in Arkansas is a ritual of both men and women. The majority of the people that live in Arkansas, breathe and eat deer hunting and the only reason for real existence is to hunt deer.
That brings me to my friend Willy. I know Willy almost as if he and I were the same person. Well, Willy has aged a bit, you know, getting a little older and not as spry as he used to be. Willy seems to complain daily of aches and pains in his back and legs. But aches and pains didn't stop Willy.
Being the true hunter he is as you can see in the picture, Willy had gone to deer camp on Friday night as to get an early jump on the deer on Saturday Morning. For you see, Deer Camp is as much a part of the ritual of deer hunting as is the actual hunting. Well, way before dawn on opening day Willy walks the mile to his tree stand, legs and back aching even more than usual. For you see that cot at camp was not near as comfortable as the great bed Willy has at home. Willy gets to the tree stand and gingerly climbs the 13 rickety steps up to the top so he could set on that small seat for the next several hours waiting for that big buck.
Willy sat on the stand till about 10 oclock and the day seemed long and dreary. Not a deer had Willy seen, much less that trophy buck. Willy's back and legs were aching to no end. "Man if I don't see one soon I am getting down and going back to camp. " About that time Willy heard a limb crunch in the woods to his left. Willy eased around with his gun moving very slowly as not to frighten anything that might be there. "Man, that is a nice 8 point buck" . Willy eases the safety off of his gun and "bam" the deer falls in his tracks.
Well, Willy takes a couple of deep breaths to calm his excitement and turns to climb down the 13 rickety steps of his deer stand. Willy was down to step 4 from the bottom when it gave way. Willy falls back onto the ground, gun pointed in the air and as his aching back hit the ground the gun fired again into the air. This scared Willy to death, but he could do nothing about it because he was stunned by the fall.
Willy layed on the ground for about 5 minutes back and legs in misery. He thought for a minute he had really hurt himself. Well, his friends came running from their stands because they had heard the second, curious shot and thought Willy might need some help.
Being the friends that they were, they first helped Willy back to camp along with his deer. Then they began to give Willy fits about his old, aching body, and his deer stand to match.

This is a neat smaller Church out in the country Northeast of Quitman. The Pastor of this Church used to be a neighbor of mine. He is a great young man. I had heard that he was pastoring a Church but did not know where it was at. I just stumbled on to this Church while I was driving in the country on business.

The product that I found while I was looking at their website was salt & pepper shakers that hug. Wish I had received a set of those - what a great Christmas gift that would have been.

Alzheimer's needs to be considered serious and all of us probably know of someone that it has touched. That is why I believe that an excellent holiday gift would be to make a donation to help find a cure for Alzheimer's. The wife and I had heard lots bout the place in Little Rock but it is now open in Conway.
The line was long and slow as the food is prepared assembly line style right before your eyes.
The food was burritos and quick Mexican. - Kind of a neat - High Class - Taco Bell.
However the food was worth the wait - it was very good and the HomeWrecker Burrito appears to die for. Yes - I believe if I had eaten that I probably would have died.
Appeared to be a big ole fat 2 lb burrito.
In All I give this one a 10. And by the way it is just about 3 doors down from New York Style Deli - who on this day had 3 cars in front and probably two of them were workers.
