Relief in Arkansas

Woke up this morning and went outside to see low clouds floating around.  The air felt heavy as usual but the temperature felt lower.  I wonder is their relief in sight.

The temperatures have been so hot lately that about all one can do is stay in the air conditioned house or vehicle.  It is so miserable that it is difficult to even want to go anywhere because it is too hot to go from building to car or especially building to car since the car has set and gotten so hot.

Maybe some rain is in sight.  This should cool the us down some and help the yards which are burning.  However, it will just turn hot and steamy again.

My thoughts for now.

Willy’s Best Interest at Heart?

Willy Lives In Arkansas and Likes to Write for Arkansas – a Great Place to live.  These are Willy’s Thoughts on a subject that has come up recently.

Are you like Willy and many other people in America who wear eyeglasses  at least part of the time.  Like many people in America Willy has a favorite Optometrist that that Willy trusts and goes to have their eye exams and to find out what they need in the way of prescriptions for their eyeglasses.   This is where Willy hears that their is a serious problem in Willy’s mind..  Let Willy address this problem as Willy sees it.

Many of these Optometrists also sell the eyeglasses, frames, lens and everything else involved with the process.   Many of these places make probably as much money off of the sale of the eyeglasses as they do on giving the examines.  Why not?  They have you as a captive audience.

Now, Willy has not had the problem yet, but Willy believes that his understanding is correct as it appears now.  That problem is that the place where you get the exam is now many times reluctant to give you what is called the PD.  This is the Pupillary Distance.  This is a measurement that is necessary if you want to take your prescription to someone else such as Zenni Optical on line to get similar or the same eye wear at a discounted price.  Willy understands that if they do give you the measurement it is in some method that is not practical and useful for some other company to use.  Willy wants to know if this  is doing folks right are is it just screwing with the money factor.  Willy says do these people have your best interest at heart or not.  Willy believes that they only have their pocket book in mind and not what is best for you and Willy.

This makes Willy mad.  What are your thoughts.

When Will Arkansas Football Start

Ok - Enough already.  We are finally through with NBA basketball, we are in the middle of Baseball, but when will we be through with this World Soccer deal.  Seem0 days.s like we hear those blasted horns forever and for the most part who cares.

All I can say is when will Arkansas Football get here.  When will we hear Touchdown Arkansas.

When will we hear Ryan Mallet fades back to pass.

When will we hear that Petrino is the greatest coach alive.

When will we hear that the Arkansas Razorbacks - Hogs Football is National Champions.

Soon we will start the process - about 7

Grande Shores Ocean Resort - Vacation Time!

Ok, I spend a lot of time on this blog lately talking about vacation.  That is because the wife and I enjoy getting away from Arkansas, as beautiful as it is.  It appears that this year the real vacation may come past summer or maybe on into September.  That means that if I can't be there yet, I  can possibly feel better by writing about it.

So where do you think we might want to go and do.  Well, beach and golf people might certainly consider the beaches that have golf courses with them or close by.  Therefore, one of the places we might look to stay is always something such as a great Myrtle Beach hotel.   So, as intelligent as I am, I immediately start searching the internet and find sites such as http://www.grandeshores.com

This could easily be found when searching for Myrtle Beach vacation deals.  Doing a search such as this I certainly found Grande Shores Ocean Resort.  This sounds like a great place to go and could certainly be our head quarters for the beach or golf.  Sounds like a vacation that makes both the wife and me happy.

How can you beat that.

Hot in Arkansas

The sun is shining
It is barely summer
Seems like this one
Might be a bummer

Most have noticed
It has been really hot
I am not enjoying
The heat a lot

What can we do
What can we say
Hope the rain comes
another Day

Poetry is not my strength.  - If you did not notice the jest is I don't like the heat.

Razorbacks and NBA Draft

What can I say about Razorbacks that were in the NBA draft.

Technically - nothing.   Michael Washington finished his career at Arkansas for the Hogs and was in the draft and Courtney Fortson who was a lightning bolt for John Pelphrey and the Razorbacks came out early rather than probably being suspended again.

So what were the results.

Washington did not get drafted but did get a call by a team to play on their development league to possible move up in the future.

Fortson - who thought he would have not problem - did not get drafted and does not have a place to go.   Too many off the court issues I guess.

Arkansas Razorback Basketball has to get better in the future.

Beach - Golf- Myrtle Beach - Avista Resort!

Golf and beach is a combination that sparks excitement in my household at least once a year.  That excitement comes when it is time to decide where to go on vacation.  Arkansas is a wonderful state and we do many mini vacations in the state.  However, when it comes time for the big vacation we began to look at beach and golf locations.

One of the locations that always comes to mind is of course resorts in Myrtle Beach because we both know that this would mean very likely that golf and beach would be close at hand. So therefore we start looking for an ideal Myrtle Beach hotel

Well, the search continues but one place that has certainly made the first cut and my likely be the place where many would want to stay is found at http://avistaresort.com  This place looks like it would be great accommodations with great beach and great golf opportunities.  Again, with those two things a plus in our selection, this place would certainly be top of the list.

So back to the final selection process for that great golf and beach vacation or is the search over.  Lets look at it one more time.  I believe the decision has been made.

Razorbacks looking Good for This Year.

Just watching news this morning and am pleased to see things that show that there are Football Razorbacks that are getting pre-season awards.  There have already been several that have gotten some accolades and Willy is not good at getting the names right or remembering who they are.

What Willy does like is that this morning they said that Ryan Mallet was named another preseason reward which means that there are other people out there who believe that the Razorbacks have the people to be very successful this coming year.   Hopefully, everyone is right.

Go Hogs!

Investing in Coins and Precious Metals

I love to invest in gold. Over the years I have made several investments in gold coins, silver, bullion and many coins both commemoratives and proof sets. One of the things that I have found in doing all of this is that information about value and quality is very important to the investment process.

What do I mean by that? Well quality of proof sets can be tricky. If you believe you are buying one quality and it is really another the value can be very different. Another thing that is important is being sure of the purity of the silver, gold . gold coins or bullion that you purchase. If you get less than think you are purchasing in quality then again the value is very different.

So, I guess what I am saying is that knowledge is king. That knowledge is usually available on excellent sources on the internet. So if you are investing in this type of medium, then I would suggest become informed.

That is my thoughts for now.

The courts

It is interesting what things get taken to court. I have been called to be a witness in a trial which is a builder vs a home owner. The interesting thing is that the loan that I made was over 7 years ago and I have been gone from that lending institution about 6 years.

I have no idea what the law suit is about or what has gone on since. All that I know is that I have been called as a witness.

Hopefully all I have to do is to say, yes I made that loan. Yes, that was the builder and yes that was the borrower.

Hope I don't go to jail.

Just kidding.

SeaSide in North Myrtle Beach

Arkansas is a great place to live and work.  However, each summer it is great to get out of this great state and see somewhere else.  That is where me and my wife differ sometimes.  I like to golf and she likes to do things like shop and sit on the beach and soak in the sun.

Well, here is how we can make a compromise.  We can always look to Myrtle beach and I have found a website, http://www.seasidemb.com   which gives us to opportunity to find a great place that satisfies both our desires.   Yes we can easily look for and make Myrtle Beach hotel reservations which gives us a place that is next to the beach and has access to great quality golf courses.  This is vacation at its greatest for both the wife and me.  How good can it get.

It is also important that these Myrtle Beach Accommodations be a great place to stay and something that my wife will enjoy if she decides to just sit at the room or sit by the pool.  Well, this is the type of place that it appears that this will be. Again, if I am out playing golf, she needs to be happy and this is the type of place that this will be.   Again, how good does it get.

So, come on summer vacation.  We are ready for the relief.

My thoughts for now.

U.S. Open Golf Tournament

The Open is a tournament that is very interesting. The seaside setting would worry my personal golf game because water seems to have an automatic attraction to my golf game and it would end up in the ocean almost every hole.  The next problem is the greens.  They look like a cow pasture and is very rough.  I have trouble putting on a smooth surface.

Then there are the announcers.  Just a few minutes ago they made the statement that Tiger was having a love fest with the 9th hole.   I don't about you but that is not a good choice of words in my opinion when it comes to talking about Tiger.

Your thoughts.

Insurance is Needed!

Life is precious and the things that you do to make life better for you loved ones is always a good thing.  What things can we do while we are here to make things better.  Well, the things that I am talking about are not subjects that are real fun but are real necessary.

The things that I am referring to are things that are important to your family if something happens to you.   Do you know what your spouse would do if something were to happen to you.  Do you know with a peace of mind that your spouse and family would have their needs taken care of even without your income.  Thoughts that are not pleasant but are necessary.

There are things that can help you have a better peace of mind on this.  Such thins such as funeral funds nsw – which can help your family pay the expenses for your funeral if something happens to you.  That is good to know that in their grief that they do not have to worry about that.   Another thing that is necessary is to get the best life insurance that you can have.  One that is enough to take care of your family if your income is gone.  That is the best life insurance you can have.  Along with that it is important to have something called income insurance which would help your family replace that income that you have been bringing in to the family.

So what I am saying is that Insurance is needed.  Anyone that does not believe that it is needs to think more about it and see the real needs that they can provide for their family.

Arkansas Football Predictions

Ok – it is about 80 days or so until Arkansas kicks off the football.  It is the desire of this site to get a good prediction on what everyone thinks will be the regular season record for the Hogs.

So over the next month or so anyone that drops by and leaves a comment can leave what they believe the season will hold.

So Go Hogs and leave your prediction here.  If you get it right it might be that there is something in it for the winner.

Tell us your thoughts.

Howard Technology – Computers you Want!

Have you ever thought that you would like to have a Custom Computer  built just like you want it built.  This used to be difficult to get but today there are places out there that cater to the Custom Computers that suit what you want and how you want it designed.

You can get not only desktops but you can also get Custom Laptops which is very nice.  Yes you can get that Custom Laptop just the way you want it.

So far information about many brands, types, setups, peripherals and just anything about computers and related electronics the place that you might want to visit is  Howard Technology Solutions!

I have recently invested in some new computer technology and this would have been a great site that would have given me the things that I needed to get what I wanted.

My thoughts for now.

Hogs Play today

Get ready for the heat.  Hopefully it is the heat of the Razorbacks throwing strikes and hitting homers.

Likely will be the heat of the Arizona Sun.  The Razorbacks are to play this evening against Arizona State.  The Hogs may have a hard time in the heat of the summer and the heat of Arizona state making it past them to get on to the College World Series.

Tune in to see the outcome.

Arkansas Razorback Baseball

Hogs will now play in the Super Regional in Arizona.  The game will be against Arizona State and will be shown on ESPNU.

So how will the Hogs do?  Will they win in with big numbers?  Will they be able to use Cox's big bat - by the way he tweeked his back.  What ever that means.

Will the Hogs lose?  Will Dave VanHorn be able to spark a fire under this team or will they fall by the wayside and be just another has been?

What do you think?

Mesothelioma - Can You Survive it?

Do you know what it is?  Do you know what it does to your body?  Do you know what to do if you think you may have a problem with it.  The questions are all talking about Mesothelioma.

This Mesothelioma cancer that can be present in many people who have worked in and around asbestos.  This is a cancer that can be very damaging.  This is a cancer that has over 2,000 cases diagnosed in the United States each year.  Why is there so many cases?  What is causing all of these cases?  What is the major reason behind all of the new cases?  The best way to find the answer to all of these is to read a book called "Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient's Guide"

This book is very informing and will tell you a lot of information about this cancer.  It will give you the information that will help you make the decision whether you need a specialist such as a Mesothelioma Lawyer, someone who specializes in cases such as this.  Yes, a Mesothelioma Attorney is someone that can help you get the financial relief that you need from the people or the cause of your cancer.

This is something that anyone who suffers from Mesothelioma needs to know.  Check it out.
