Looking for an elegant evening dress?

Just mentioned the Mrs Arkansas America Contest. This is married women competing for a crown.

Could be that these ladies have spent lots of time shopping for those great looking gowns they were wearing. I sure don't claim to be an expert on that but I do read and find out things like what they need to do when shopping for those gowns. What they need to know is that whether they are looking for full-length formal dresses, short prom dresses or glamorous evening gowns with trains, Elegant Mart is the place to find those designer originals for less.

Anywhere and anytime, shoppers can find the perfect evening dresses for every elegant need with just a few clicks of their mouse.

That is certainly what some of these ladies needed to have done. But again I am no expert.

So if you are in the market for this type of elegant dress you should go to ElegantMart.com.

Just my thoughts for now!

Mrs Arkansas USA

Just been watching the re-run of the Mrs Arkansas USA pageant. It is very interesting to watch the ladies in their swimsuits, evening gowns and talent competition to try to win another contest. Not sure what the purpose of these ladies winning is. They are mostly women with children who are already out in life.

Maybe it is just the thrill of the competition.

Surely it is not the desire to parade around in a skimpy swim suit.

My thoughts for now!

Hand Blown Glass

Hand Blown Glass - this is good looking art.

You have to take a look at HandBlownGlass.net . This an online art gallery dedicated to beautiful Hand Blown Glass. This site features the top glass blowing artists in the glass blowing field. Every piece of this art work is individually made and is one of a kind. What is even better is that each hand blown glass piece is also hand signed by the artist and each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity from the studio.

I told you this was the top notch - real deal!

This gallery contains a quite a variety of different types of hand blown glass. They seem to have everything from traditional pieces like the fluted bowls and vases, to non-traditional pieces such as very elegant wall art along with one of a kind sculptures. They even say that if there is something that you are looking for that you do not see, that they are able to have pieces custom made.
Again, how great is that? You can take from the stock that they have on hand or get them to make what you want from the expert glass artists.

With all of the above, you would think that it couldn't get any better. Well it dies. They say that at HandBlownGlass.net, customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. They say that they take extra care to provide high resolution pictures so you can see the quality and detail of exactly what you are buying. They have such a strong confience level that you will be happy with your purchase that they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on each and every piece of hand blown glass.

Finally - how can you beat this type of deal? I don't think you can!

Too Good To Not Pass Along

Somtimes I find a joke that is too good to not pass along.

Two little old ladies were sitting on a park bench outside the localtown hall where a flower show was in progress. The thin one leaned overand said, 'Life is so darned boring. We never have any fun anymore. For$5.00, I'd take my clothes off and streak through that stupid flowershow!'
'You're on!' said the other old lady, holding up a $5.00 bill.

The first little old lady slowly fumbled her way out of her clothes and, completely naked, streaked (as fast as an old lady can) through thefront door of the flower show. Waiting outside, her friend soon heard ahuge commotion inside the hall, followed by loud applause and shrill whistling.

The smilingand naked old lady came through the exit door surrounded by a cheeringcrowd. 'What happened?' asked her waiting friend.
'I won 1st prize as Best Dried Arrangement.'

Dirt Devil - Energy Star® approved!

5238dd240x180public
Dirt Devil is a great Energy Star appliance. This means that it uses less energy and is very energy efficient when it is cleaning your house. The only question I have is how do I get it to do the cleaning. I sure don't like to use anything when it comes to cleaning the house.

The typical house cleaning at my house takes in a few things like taping dust rags to the bottom of the dogs feet and then I lay on the couch and throw a dog toy to different parts of the room hoping those dust rags will clean up the floor. "Wait a minute spot you missed a spot" "Fetch Dog"

Oh yeah! I did spill something the other night. It might still be a little sticky where the dog licked it up but I believe it will be ok as long as the ants don't get to thick.

What do you mean there is lint behind the doors. Why is anyone looking there any way?

You mean this isn't the way you clean your house? You are kidding, there is a better way?

Jokes aside,
Dirt Devil has a better way to save energy. The new AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac use 70% less energy – making AccuCharge the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval.

"Darling where is that number for the Dog Whisper? I need to see if he can help me teach spot to run a Dirt Devil!"

Lake Ouachita - Arkansas

I had the opportunity this past weekend to spend two days on beautiful Lake Ouachita. Most of my time was spent around the Mountain Harbor Resort which is also very nice. The whole experience gave me a greater appreciation for the area and the lake and for the many people that spend a lot of time on the water.

There are those that go to play hard and fast. They have lots of toys - big boats, wave runners, ski boards, tubes and much more.

There are thost that go to just go around the lake and relax. One couple that I met take a grill and a beach umbrella and then find an area that is kind of quiet and park the boat grill up some hamburgers and just set under the unbrella and enjoy the day. When they are not doing that the gentleman says that they have a tube with an unbrella on it and he moves across the lake slowly and fishes while his wife floats behind in the tube with unbrella reading and enjoying life.

There are many other types in between but all in all it appears a great place to have a good time.

Rentalo Vacation Rentals - Lets Go!

Arkansas is a great place to live and if you have ever been to Arkansas you know how great it is. It is interesting though that regardless of how nice it is around your home we are always taking that vacation to somewhere else.

Well, if you are looking for that vacation place to go here are some of the places that you might want to consider reviewing to make your decision.

The first one is Destin resorts. If you have never been to Destin you are truly missing something. There are great beaches and great things to do. Great- fun -things, great shopping, great people, great eating and just overall a good and fun time. When you go there you are going to need that rental for the week and what better place to look for that ideal spot than Rentalo.com.

Well, you want to go a little further, try this one. Nothing sounds better than to try out Kissimmee vacation homes. I have never been there myself but I have been close. You know what is in that area. Again, Destin or Kissimmee both great places and what better thing to do than check out those vacation rentals on the internet.

Well, lets get a little more southern and try out the Puerto Vallarta hotels. I have not been actually Puerto Vallarta but any where in that area is great. You can lay around on the beaches, venture into the country or just relax and enjoy the local flair. Again, look for that great- vacation -rental property that would be available from Rentalo.com.

Are you convinced yet. All I can say is it must be time for a vacation. In reviewing this site, I find that I long for that time off in a great vacation area.

Thats my thoughts for now.

Only Three Bullets

Sometimes you run on to those writings that just say a whole lot about how you feel. Well, I did run into this piece below and think it is very appropriate. I hope anyone who reads this blog will take a look and give me your comments about it.

Read and enjoy!

------------------------------

There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat.

He had an old rifle and three bullets. So, he decided that he would go out hunting and kill some wild game for dinner.

As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit. He shot at the rabbit and missed it.
The rabbit ran away.

Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and missed it.
The squirrel disappeared into a hole in a cottonwood tree.

As he went further, he saw a large wild 'Tom' turkey in the tree, but he had only one bullet remaining.

A voice spoke to him and said, 'Pray first, aim high and stay focused..'

However, at the same time, he saw a deer which was a better kill.

He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattlesnake between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattlesnake.

Still, the voice said again to him, ''I said 'Pray, Aim high and Stay focused.''

So, the man decided to listen to God's voice.

He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree and shot the wild turkey.

The bullet passed thru the turkey and killed the deer.

The handle fell off the gun and hit the snake in the head and killed it.

And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond.

When he stood up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer and a turkey to eat for his family.

The snake (Satan) was dead simply because the man listened to God.

Moral of the story:

Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God.

Never let others discourage you concerning your past. The past is exactly that... 'the past.'

Live every day one day at a time and remember that only God knows our future and that God will not put you through any more than you can bear.

Do not look to man for your blessings, but look to the doors that only God has prepared in advance for you in your favor.

Wait, be still and patient: keep God first and everything else will follow.

A Beautiful Day

Today was a beautiful day. It was in the low 90's with a very delightful breeze. It was warm in the sun, but if you were under a shade tree, it was very nice.

Days like this are days that farmers wish for. They can plant their fields and harvest their winter wheat that is ready. Right now, farmers are having to put in long hours to get all their fields planted because of the weather we have had in the last few months. You never know what kind of weather you will have from one hour to the next in Arkansas. I guess, farming is one of the riskiest businesses here in Arkansas because of the weather.

When I moved to Arkansas, I was always told that if you don't like the weather, stay a while......it will change......and its true.

What the Cell Phone Sees -6/07/08 - Stop and Smell the Roses

Sometimes the Cell Phone is more alert than I am. In the hurry of the day I forget that it is ok and sometimes necessary to stop and smell the roses.

Today the Cell Phone saw these Hydrangea for the first time this year. Why haven't we seen these before is the question I ask my cell phone.

After all they are right outside the front of my office. I go here everyday but I park in back and come in the back door. For some reason I have not been out front in the past month to realize how nice the flowers are.

Yes, these are not roses to stop and smell but they are nice looking and we need to just stop and take notice of these things.

The thought that this gives me from the cell phone is - How many of the small and wonderful things do I not stop and notice about people on a daily basis because I am too busy doing business with people rather than truly interacting with people.

Stop and smell the roses is the attitude I am trying to take.

Life is good in Arkansas!

Where's Mary! - In Plain Site?

Can you find Mary Shannon on this page. She is a character on the USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight.

Of course you can! She is right there. But have you found her on the tube in this great new series.

In Plain Sight is an all-new crime drama from USA Network starring Mary McCormack as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal attached to the highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program (WITSEC). While Mary loves her job, she knows better than anyone that it's not easy leading a double life—especially since getting shot at on a regular basis is all in a day's work.

Mary Shannon, who is based in the greater Albuquerque/Santa Fe area, protects and manages relocated Federal Witnesses who come from all over the country. The witnesses under her care can be anything from career criminals, congenital liars, thieves and murderers to those who have had the misfortune of witnessing or falling victim to a crime.

For the innocents, testifying means leaving behind everything and everyone they know, cutting off all contact, changing identities and relocating to the unfamiliar southwest to build a new life as the reward for their good deed. But no matter what walk of life—or what side of the law—these people come from, they all have one thing in common: Someone wants them dead.

This is a great new series that began on June 1. If you missed the first episode it can be caught on the website. This is a fun and interesting series.

Check it out

Rain - Rain

Rained again today - Sunday. Did not even realize we were supposed to get rain. I had gone to the grocery store to get some bologna for meal. While there the lights went off and on several times. Once the lightning struck close to the building and the lights went out. One of the girls behind the deli counter screamed and everyone thought she had been shocked.

She was fine but they were out of bologna. Settled for a salami sandwich.

Life goes on but it is a good life in Arkansas

My thoughts for now.

Home Made Dockers Commercials - Vote for your Choice!

240x180
Dockers is my dress pant and clothing of choice. I work in an environment that allows business casual 4 days a week and casual on Fridays. Well, guess what? About 90% of the time I find myself wearing Dockers Clothing. Even on Fridays I usually have a pair of Dockers denim on.

So, when given the opportunity to do a video spot for a Dockers contest I jumped on the idea. It was fun to take their idea and run with it as a novice with a camera and see what the end results would be.

Dockers contest can be found at www.nbc.com/Dockers. If you want to make a video and its not too late check out this contest. Again it is fun and it is a great opportunity to use your creativity to talk about Americas favorite clothes.

I was wanting to link to my favorite video but it didn't seem to work. However, you can go to NBC and take a look at all of the videos. You can stroll through them and look at the ones that you think are good. Dont forget to vote for your favorite video.

Someone has a chance to win. If you are able to put your video out there it could be you. If not vote on someone. Check them out and get in on the action. It is fun and rewarding.

You can check all of this out below.
