NMEDA - Equipment for the Disabled

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

NMEDA   is a non-profit trade association.   What do they do that is so important.  Well, you might want to know that they are big on educating consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealer.

What does that mean.  Well the first thing to know is that NMEDA DOES NOT SELL ANYTHING: NMEDA is the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people. They are non-profit and their members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NMEDA dealers (members) are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.

What we need to know is that there are o two people that have  a disability who are exactly the same. They try to warn you about the hazards of buying of adapted wheelchair vehicles that might be sold over the Internet or through catalogs.  They let you know how it is important to have  a personalized “in-person” evaluation.  With that evaluation you can be sure you are getting what is the  right driving solution designed to your specific needs. Your NMEDA dealer will be there also for additional training or product refinements.

NMEDA also conducts a Quality Assurance Program (QAP) which is the only one that is a nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry.  This all but guarantees that what you get will be the best you can get. This is based on their principle that to satisfy customers on a consistent basis, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

NMEDA uses all of this to have great and highly qualified dealers who are there to satisfy the customer and know that they are getting the best quality available.

If you have any relationships with care givingor anyone with disabilities you know that there are great challenges.  Now you know that you can find through NMEDA dealers that can provide you equipment that you need with reliability that it is the best you can get.

Check out the dealers in your area on their website.  A search of my Arkansas area brings in Siebert Mobility Inc. of Benton Arkansas. Again, find one in your area by going to their site and putting in your zip code. Leave a comment about the dealers in your area.

So if you have need for this type of assistance please check them out. Also please know that a NMEDA dealer can help the elderly or disabled get back on the road and gain back their independence.
