Willy’s Best Interest at Heart?

Willy Lives In Arkansas and Likes to Write for Arkansas – a Great Place to live.  These are Willy’s Thoughts on a subject that has come up recently.

Are you like Willy and many other people in America who wear eyeglasses  at least part of the time.  Like many people in America Willy has a favorite Optometrist that that Willy trusts and goes to have their eye exams and to find out what they need in the way of prescriptions for their eyeglasses.   This is where Willy hears that their is a serious problem in Willy’s mind..  Let Willy address this problem as Willy sees it.

Many of these Optometrists also sell the eyeglasses, frames, lens and everything else involved with the process.   Many of these places make probably as much money off of the sale of the eyeglasses as they do on giving the examines.  Why not?  They have you as a captive audience. 

Now, Willy has not had the problem yet, but Willy believes that his understanding is correct as it appears now.  That problem is that the place where you get the exam is now many times reluctant to give you what is called the PD.  This is the Pupillary Distance.  This is a measurement that is necessary if you want to take your prescription to someone else such as Zenni Optical on line to get similar or the same eye wear at a discounted price.  Willy understands that if they do give you the measurement it is in some method that is not practical and useful for some other company to use.  Willy wants to know if this  is doing folks right are is it just screwing with the money factor.  Willy says do these people have your best interest at heart or not.  Willy believes that they only have their pocket book in mind and not what is best for you and Willy.

This makes Willy mad.  What are your thoughts.
